BASF says to plant the canola 3/4-1 inch. Absolutely not over 1.5 inches.

I very much struggle with trying to plant a crop at 3/4-1 inch. Every time put a crop that shallow it ends up drying up to about the depth of that seed. We do not get frequent enough rains and nothing worse than “waiting” for a rain. I plant to plant it 1.25-1.5 to guarantee germination and hopefully emergence

Does anyone have any real world experience on whether canola will emerge in the 1.25-1.75 or 1.5 avg depth range?
