North Central Indiana
IMO the hydraulic downforce has been the biggest improvement we’ve seen. Does it increase yield? Maybe. Not directly but it makes it easier to plant well in less than perfect conditions. And we seem to have a lot of days that are good but not perfect anymore and very few perfect days. No replicated side by sides here, after the first planter got agleader sureforce the others followed the next winter. Had bags and springs on the planters before. Honestly preferred springs over the airbags in our worked ground, were pretty uniform in the field after spring tillage. But the hydraulic opened the door to more aggressive no till and covers and less finish tillage work
