I was a little slow to the hydraulic depth control camp. I thought we were doing a pretty good job with air bags. (Which are an improvement over springs) after we put on hydraulic depth control our stands had a visible improvement and also peace of mind when planting.


I was in the same boat. I didn’t think I needed hydraulic down force, but I put it on when I put on electric drives because I was half way there.

Come to find out, I really did need it. Plant faster and have a better more consistent stand. I’ll be the first to admit I was very wrong about it. Wouldn’t want to plant without it now.
