Well, as I type this it is raining. First time since early December. Might end up with .20” if we’re lucky. At least the fire danger will be a little less for a few days.
It is as dry as we have ever seen. Not only dry but hard and dry. Guys are irrigating before they can strip till. The wheat is hurting on life support. We couldn’t get a planter in the ground today if we wanted.
We need 3” between now and planting time to even get interested about planting.
I didn't look at our official rain for last night, but I don't think we had an inch total since the end of October. |
