Eh, idk about better bedding. Maybe if it's walker straw. Rotor straw i would say no. Ive had more problems with rotor straw pluggung the bale shredder than corn stalks. Plus corn stalks last longer, especially if you're getting colorado low after colorado low like we did in 2022 and 2023.


We have walker combines and rotor combines. If we're saving straw the walkers come out. If not the dust/powder making rotary comes out.

I prefer the walker combines myself. Sometime about the shiny galvanized finish and black cloud above it, along with the hiss of grain on the cylinder compared to the occasional beep but otherwise absolute silence of the rotary.
