East of Broken Bow | First, I'd talk to the landowner. Pick a time when it is obvious that there are tire tracks in your field, so that even a blind man can see that there was damage done. Ask them to meet you out at the field.
Point out the damage, in the nicest way possible, and then ask if he thought it would be a good idea to plant some sort of grass or something for him to use for parking. I'd even try to mention it in a way that it looks like you are trying to help them out, for example if a tilled field, you could say if you planted grass, they would never have to worry about mud, or if you do hay, offer to plant it to a hay field and cut the hay before they come, provided you get enough heads up to do it. If you could pay half the rent on that acre or whatever, all the better.
If the landowner still just laughs it off, don't push it, just comment that it was something you were offering to do to help both of you out, part as friends, and just don't worry about fertilizing the part of the field that gets damaged. | |
