| From reading on here very few will have a low enough score that an ethanol plant would offer them a premium. So probably less than 5% of producers will have a low CI score so the ethanol plant would like to source all their grain. The posted basis may slightly weaken due to some outside low CI score corn coming in, but if the low CI producers are getting another 40 or 70 cents on top of the posted bid it seems like a good deal for them. The local farmer not participating with a low CI score may get hurt slightly. | |
