Dirtfarmer1000 - 3/26/2026 19:46 Just curious what is the reason for getting the vet out for processing? In a small operation like mine it is far more cost effective to have the vet stop by, bringing all materials with him, for a half hour than for me to try to do the same myself. Vet is needed to do the bangs shot tattoo and registration Whatever cattle he needs to treat are in the corral ready to go whenever he visits. I also seem to learn something new from our conversations every time he visits. FWIW I snapped a photo of a few of these retained near-yearling heifers while they were in the lane to the waterer. They were all calved in May of last year so about 10 months old. I think they are a pretty good looking group if I may say so.
