Me too same complaint. I really need to go north and find a nice 2390 For tillage and a 2090 with loader.

Those old cases run cheaper than anything. I love the power shift too for stuff you only need 3/4 the horsepower for.


I can attest that if you go buy a compact 100 hp newish tractor you’ll be very sad. They are light and short coupled and will beat you to death.

Have a 706 with loader and a cx90 with loader. The 706 is a real tractor, cx90 is a hobby farm tractor. Bet that 706 will lift and push double the 90. 90 burns less fuel and is reliable (Perkins) also very fast for loader work though. But I’ll cut hay with 1070 case and think field is smooth, but in cx90 raking I’ve never been in a smooth field.
