Seeing as you are in Michigan you may have opportunities that guys in areas like western Nebraska or Kansas may not have. Are you maximizing the acres you have rather than bidding the profit out of addition acres? Simple things like grain storage can add value to the grain you already have. Is a few acres of produce(sweet corn and pumpkins) an option? Adding a little livestock? Bagging and selling deer feed? Hay or straw, not poor quality round bales but high quality small squares?
