I had an engine fail in my 9500 combine(this was about 15 years ago). Only replacement engine available was a JD Reman, so that's what I used, installed by the JD dealer. The service manager was adamant that I leave the JD Break-in oil in for 250 engine hours, even if it took a couple years. I did that, and the engine was perfect, and remained that way as long as I owned it.
