Big Sky Country
Dont overload your pickup—-full tank aint real bad—half tank and adrenaline will wreck you.

‘Forestry’ nozzles will stretch water out, little attack nozzles knock it down but lotsa water.

Short bolt cutters in every rig——can cut 5 wires in fence corner while screwing around with fence pliers to cut one—-and take no strength

Get a baffled tank if you can

NOTHING costs more—and sells cheaper—-than used fire apparatus—-you might buy an engine for less than it would cost to rig up your own brush truck—-and it’s been kept inside and maintained—-

A big nomex shirt, goggles, gloves dont take up,much room—-and we’ve given old turnouts away—-

Hard to beat Honda motors—-or even clones—-shut gas off and run carb dry when you can—-speaking of running dry—-if you have to/can run a ways to refill —-dont run your tank dry—-pumps still primed and you might need a little water to get there—-

Excitement and adrenaline can get people hurt or killed—-dont drive like an idiot—-stay in the black when it’s feasible——and ‘wind your watch’—-take a breath—calm down and use your noggin—and be ‘situationally aware”—more than once, we’ve exited one way out deals with fire behind us and ahead of us on both sides—-in high winds—-but we had one rig where it could see everything—-DD Mau means it—
