| I plant no-till into soybean stubble with row cleaners. Have read a few posts that spoke in favor for smooth cast closing wheels. Its weird they are not in any closing wheels studies/comparisons anywhere. I've ran spike type wheels for long time and they do OK. But still seem to leave air pockets in places. Seems to me they could be causing some variance in seed depth where the soil lifts in between the spokes. How do the smooth cast closing wheels perform in no-till soybean stubble? | |
