North central Iowa | Need opinions and/or ideas on how to set up liquid on my planter. We already have a factory in furrow setup on the planter and are going to shoot some 28% with thio behind the closing disks of the planter about 8 gals/acre.
Have sidequest tanks on tractor.
Do I run a 1 1/4" line back to the middle of the planter with the rate controller/flow meter/shut offs then to the 3 sections of redballs? Or do I keep it simple and and mount the rate controller/floe meter/shutoffs at the tongue and run 2- 1 inch hoses back to the 2 redball banks?
Cheaper to run hoses back than buy a bunch of monitor cabling to get back to rate rate controller clear back on the planter.
Do teejet shutoffs draw a lot of amps. I was thinking I could put the rate controller and flow meter up on the sidequest tanks and put the shut offs back by the factory infurow shutoffs on the planter and run jumper wires from them to turn on and off.
Needing ideas, thanks
