If you’re looking to go one pass from corn into beans, we do that regularly around here with a tillage pass from Horsch joker in the fall. Work it “medium”, not super aggressive but not just scratching (~3” deep)

Now, that is being planted with John Deere planters. However, I think your drill would be fine also. The trick is really to incorporate residue, level the ground, and not be so aggressive that you’re sinking all the time on fluffed up ground. We’ve found the joker to be a good middle ground and a well built machine, have ran them for 14 years now.

Note, much of our ground is 20-30 CEC, we take a different approach on our 7-20 CEC soil.
