Spring, then valve , then rubber plug . There is no staking . There is a plug at the bottom for a guage. It will hold itself together when you get it in. Its a pressure regulator for the primary pump . To check it you need a guage that goes in the bottom . Around 100psi at half throttle . Allen screw adjustment under brass elbow. Dont go over 120 . Could be hard on the pump head . Pressure also controls the advance.


Thanks for confirming that. The guy I bought the parts from told me to discard the rubber plug, and use this staked ring instead. I think that recommendation is mostly to avoid the risk of losing the valve parts in the future, if the inlet screen ever needs to be removed and cleaned.
