JD $1,000 combine tool box issue!

Subject: JD $1,000 combine tool box issue!


Central Missouri		Has anyone noticed how the optional $1,000 tool box door on JD combines does not seal all the way around the opening. I have looked at several and they are all made the same way. Just curious if anyone has addressed this issue or just lived with it. Looks to me like a good way to end up with a lot of dirt inside. This is on a JD S7 series machine. I have added pictures with a light inside the box to show the opening gap. Thanks for any input.
