Thumb of Michigan | I have the fortunate opportunity to have just a 365Kv, 120Kv & 40Kv sets of lines crossing my place. The sub-station across the road from the cow pasture. So, the humming noise is more pronounced from the sub-station verses the lines in my case. Cows lay under the 365Kv tower often in the summertime when they are out on that pasture (it's the high spot). I haven't had any ill effects to cows that I know of over the last 70+ years. IDK about GPS, because I don't use much, except when spreading lime/fertilizer spreading on my hay fields. It does mess with my electric fence testers, however.
As far as damages, yep on going like forever, so get paid forever verses one-time like my grandfather did would be my recommendation. Even back when I grew row crops, seems they wanted/did drive across just before harvest and/or the day/day after a 1-2" rain, allowing them to test the 6 wheel drive out. | |
