northeastern Ohio
I have a couple of them running through my farm. They do mess with GPS. Don't really notice anything with cell phones. I hate the crackling sound they make when foggy or drizzling. Will light up a fluorescent bulb if you hold it in the air underneath at night.....

I would not want to live near one. Can't build anything in the right of way. I don't notice a loss of yield except when they drive through the field to get to a tower.

When negotiating an agreement, you need to be compensated WELL. They decrease the overall value of your land way BEYOND the right of way. You should be able to negotiate a fair setback when you negotiate the agreement. But I would encourage you to join a landowner group with your neighbors to maximize your negotiating power.
