Things must have changed. I used to haul logs back in 98-99. I got pulled over several times for being overweight. I got out of all of them that came from the woods based on them being "farm produce" and no way to weigh truck in the field. Produce, and supplies used to have farm exemptions as long as the were leaving the farm, or being delivered to the farm. At work our stone trucks can weigh 107.5% of legal because it's a commodity except in February and March.
