Iowa | If I remember right- when xenia went through our area if you allowed them to install their line inside the fence along the edge of your field the hookup fee was reasonable.
But if you told them no and they had to install it in the road ditch the fee was significantly higher if you ever wanted to hookup later on. My parents have a good producing well of decent quality and I don't think they are missing out on much.
My place had some quality issues from the well so I hooked the house up to xenia and left the well functional for outside use. The xenia water does taste good and has no pump/ pressure tank/ or pressure switch to die at the most inopportune time but it's also another bill every month. | |
