Very southern Mn | I understand both sides, especially the family on a budget where yes every plate is counted and or 10-15 extra kids means same number of friends or family not invited because of budget. Personally. I have been to quite a few weddings and always thought the kids added, not subtracted. But I guess I am just a big kid, rather dance with grandkids and other family kids than drink too much beer. Cute story, my nephew and his bride got married, preferred no kids, had no plans to ever have kids. It has been a couple of years but we got the baby shower announcement from them so I guess kids aren’t so bad after all.
Had to post some of my grandchildren at a couple of family weddings. I have many more, but there is always big smiles and a lot of fun.
