Hooker Twp,Ne | I’m undecided about data centers. They want to place one about 20 miles north of me. Guess they going around to land owners in the area and getting option purchases agreements for 6 years. Shown at nebr deeds on line. . 30k/acre on land bringing 7-10k now. Here comes the Halloween exchange $$s. And what does that do to land taxes ( in the tax me state). Also they want to place their own electric plant using NG. Needs more electric then whole town of Lincoln,Ne uses. NG pipelines run through area. There are some irrigation wells in the area but water is ok for crop irrigation (3 months) (but year round???) There is already moratorium on new irrigation wells in Nemaha and blue River basins. At this point there is a lot of hush,hush talk and that always make me nervous in what they trying to get away with. If it goes in and something goes wrong the little guy doesn’t have a chance in court. To many big $$$s to fight. Time will tell | |
