I went with three buddies about 1972 or 73.  The other three were all Viet Nam veterans newly enrolled in college.  One had a VW van with the polka dot curtains and all and that's what we went in. LOL

We only stayed in a motel one night, showering at the beach showers and mostly drinking beer.  I think I only spent $67 on the total trip and $5 of that was my share of the one motel night.  Needless to say we had a good time but were ready to go home at the end.  Can't remember if we stayed more than 4 days or so there or not.
