Amity, Oregon | When I was in school my family raised pole beans. Spring break was When we pulled out the stakes from the prior years bean yard. We had a v shaped tool made out of angle iron with about a 4 ft handle that had a chain on it that went to a frame mounted on a moline U tractor. You held the tool against the base of the stake as my brother drove the tractor in low gear and then threw the stake on a trailer behind the tractor. I think it was a 3 boy job. Wish I had pictures. | |
