west-byGod-Pa. | There is a one-mile stretch of a main highway near here with three new automated car washes within that mile. Another two miles away, there is a fourth, and two miles beyond that is another one-which was the first of the new style automated car washes here-which is where I have a subscription: $25/ month( I think).
Better than the old self-serve car washes. Got to where old-style car washes would eat $10 in quarters for one car wash, so subscription automated types are a bargain. Hasn’t been a new self-serve car wash put in -in this county, for 25 years. As others have posted, the self-serve ones are run down, not serviced, & I hate how one dumps in 20 quarters & by the time one grabs the wand to start scrubbing, it starts beeping that time is about up. I always wanted to have someone with a stop-watch on-site to verify the timer, but never got it done. Happy to see them go away | |
