Yesterday afternoon on 620 AM CKRM, there was a song I only caught part of.

The chorus had the line of or something close to "a lifetime in the cattle and the hay" or "gave away a lifetime in the cattle and the hay"

The rest of the song was something about, from my understanding, selling the farm or the growth of a city over the farm, as part of another line I caught mentioned something about "where there were fruit trees planted....by the watering hole", then something about how its all gone and replaced by people "trying to find their way back to where they came from" and something about it being just a dam now.

It was a 1940s to 1960s country song, not a lot of music and the old type of song with steel guitar and a single guy basically singing a short story.

I couldn't catch much being next to power lines but what I heard sounded interesting and familiar from somewhere. CKRM's recently played list has a nonsensical title at that time, like it may have been a local recording or the track title, "Muo103k".

I did contact CKRM but I assume no one works weekends at radio stations up there either.
