Not nearly as easy as it sounds. One of my sons was born in the military hospital in Quantico Va. Birth certificate issued by the US Navy no county listed. Most bureaucrats are totally unable to figure out what to do next. The number of phone calls and going to the next person up the bureaucratic ladder to get it accepted took weeks not days or hours.
