Takes about 2 hours to charge it, But he was use to being in a kennel or the garage, before the collar, he also has a regular heavy collar on, so he doesn't know which collar is on him, it's been a miracle for this dog all the neighbors knew where he belonged, and the sheriff's dept. Now I charge it when I come in the house at night , haven't even put him in the kennel and he stays in the yard.$600.
