west-byGod-Pa. | True story. A local limber yard had a wood shop & power tools. A customer could buy lumber at the counter & arrange to have it cut to dimension. This was a great blessing for people who had projects but no tools for doing so.
So, a customer bought what he wanted , had a list of end product he showed to the salesman who approved it & sent him to the shop to have it cut. Customer stood nearby while “ Joe” proceeded to use a band saw to cut some pieces: maybe a doll house or bird feeder-who knows. Customer was looking around, then looked back at “ Joe” & realized he was just standing there, having cut off one of his fingers. The customer -shocked-started yelling: “ Joe, what did you do ? …Joe how did you do that”??
“ Joe” showed him: being in schock-he cut off another finger ! Yi!
For me, the power tools I most distrust is a radial arm saw. The idea of that blade grabbing & ripping at me at high speed is unsettling.
