Their new G3 product will work, but it's not because the actual Pivot microbes work, and I wouldn't use it to "replace" nitrogen. It's because they added in Terrasym (A plant growth promoting rhizobacter) from NewLeaf Symbiotics to the G3 product and they aren't being truthful in their marketing of it. So, if you want to be money ahead, just buy Terrasym from a different company, Streamline Ag, Agrotech, and Amvac are all distributors for new leaf that have some type of product with their proprietary Terrasym strains in them.
Pivot has finally admitted that for years they basically sold dead biology that lost guys tons of money. On the acres it did "work", it was arguably only because in those scenarios synthetic N was already being over applied.
