Are you referring to the throttle limit switch on the right fender? It sets the max throttle speed. Throttle doesn't open and close? Everything has been electronic for 20+ years.

But to your question, that switch is in every 2000 and up large frame MX/Magnum I have been in. Maybe an option, but I have yet to see one without. Set the number and push the throttle all the way forward. It will not go above setting and it will use all its HP to try and stay there when load is applied.

The field/road auto runs the engine and transmission to maintain the speed selected by where the throttle lever is. On our 2008 T8050(Mag 335) it wants to run the engine to zero load before shifting to the next gear and the throttle/shift management leaves alot to be desired.

We use the throttle limit switch for almost every field operation. The other one is kinda useless the way it is programed.
