Yes, High quality long straw is what I am after. Today we are running 36' stripper heads then cutting with 36' CIH swather's and direct baling behind swather with LCB Case & Claus balers. Straw quality is no good out of the S 7 700 or the X9 1000 with a platform and chopper raised up for erosion control blankets & small square bales. If I recall the 9870 & 9770 bullet rotors did not destroy the straw as bad as the S780's with the tri stream rotor. Any one with first hand knowledge of this currently please reply as I cant remember as we were not baling straw with those models. Trying to cut some passes and expense. Absolutly have to have long good straw. If you know of any available I am very interested. Email in profile.

There isn’t any difference in the Rotor between the Tri Stream and Bullet Rotor.

We run a Round bar concave w/ cover plates in the first position. Second and third positions are A&I large wire. (Loewen)

While it's not quite walker quality, this straw can (and does) get small square baled for the horse people, cow bed straw mats and straw mat erosion control folks. With this setup, Guys are getting away from the walkers around here.

We still have a walker machine sitting in the shed just in case!! But we generally don't run it in straw unless we are behind or some other odd circumstances.
