I feel the biggest factor on efficacy of spray is weed size and whether they are growing rapidly or they are in defense mode due to heat or drought or whatever.

The more timely you cover your acres the better your efficacy is because the weeds are smaller when you get to them.

I feel like from what I have seen, custom applicators often have to try and kill some pretty big weeds. Not their fault. It’s just that the person hiring them might pull the trigger too late or whatever. I’m not saying that never happens to me but it sure is best to try and avoid that.
