Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA

There’s a reason spray nozzles on planes are pointed straight back, not down. You want your spray solution to move downward, not laterally. The faster you move, the more important it is to release the spray solution in the direction opposite of travel so that it can settle straight down as much as possible. Is 20mph too fast for nozzles pointed downward? I don’t know, our fields are generally too rough and/or full of obstacles to spray that fast anyway.
