Subject: RE: landlines AT&T

Thumb of Michigan
A year ago I switched to cellar based ATT, has battery backup built in. The copper land line was running over 5 miles at the end to switch, all the closer switches were mice hotels it seems. The last guy who got my copper base land line working came from 70+ miles away and he was one of last guys that knew how to work on copper lines. He told me ATT hadn't put any money into the copper system in years, plan to abandon in the next couple of years.
