A 95 Ford would be the first year for a powerstroke with HUEI injectors. I would expect an IH branded "E" to be the same. They have a 2 section mechanical diaphragm lift/boost pump. The first section draws from tank and pushes it through the filter to the second side of the pump at about 5 PSI. The second section then boosts the pressure to about 40 PSI going to the injectors. I wouldn't think a single electric pump could replace the original.
I've replaced the 2 section lift pump on my 95 Ford. It had about 315,000 miles at the time. It was leaking fuel on the ground. I got mine from the Ford dealer. I can get most parts from my dealer cheaper than an auto parts store.

T444E is a HEUI Engine like the Powerstroke, from what I gather the electric pump requires you to have a different filter/water separator because the original fuel bowl can’t withstand the 40psi that the injectors need to be fed. Alliant does sell the factory style mechanical pump. |
