Looking for opinions on the little Massey tractors. I am looking for a little tractor to use around the yard and garden, I want something my wife and kids can easily use as well. Mostly it would be used for cleaning the kids sheep and goat stalls, tilling the garden and maybe mowing the grass (I have a Scag zero turn but my 13y/o says she would mow more with a regular tractor style mower so I'll see about that).
Do the Massey ones seem to hold up well? Are the subcompact ones too small to be useful or would they handle a 5ft finish mower, 4ft tiller and the like?
Considering the Massey 1GC.23/25 in the subcompact range or the 1E.25 if I go a little bigger. The bigger one is about $7500 more.
I want something the wife and daughters will be comfortable with so I was leaning towards the smaller one for them.
I am looking at Massey based on dealer support, Mayer is my dealer of choice, they have been helpful with the old 6145 White I have. My parts and service experience for the other main brands in my area have not been great so I was looking at Agco mostly.
Briefly looked at a Kioti the other day but know nothing about that brand.

They hold up very well in our experience. How far are you from us? I work on a lot of 6145's LOL We have a handful of those out and I'm sorry I don't know that I remember you specifically.

I'm sure I could get with the sales guys and figure out a demo for you as long as we can make the logistics work for your time frame.

5' finish mower will be fine, that's the size of the normal deck for them, you could do a rear mount no problem on a 1GC, and the 4' tiller is what we normally sell as well for the 1GC as well.

The 1E25 is a bit bigger, and while it will handle those tanks better, if the kids will be running it, I would tend to say the 1GC is a better fit all around. It's a smaller size, and will drive nicer and be more nimble, especially in the tight barn quarters cleaning stalls. Now, it won't handle loader work as well as far as the bigger 1E25, but it will handle a full bucket of anything on the front of it in 4wd without concern on LEVEL ground. If it's unlevel, then it's fine up to about 4' tall with the loader if you have a HEAVY bucket full (dirt, gravel, etc) but with most manure, you will be 100% safe in my experience.

I know we have 1GC's, I'd have to check with my Brother to see if we have any 1E25's right now, we have sold a couple lately.
