verizion has a home phone box that uses cell signal. Its what we use on our hog barns for alarms. $20-30/month. As long as you have a verizion signal. Had one barn on it for several years now, switch the other one over a few months ago as the land lines kept getting worse and worse.
Could also use a voice over IP if you have stable internet. Would need the VOIP and router on battery backup.
