Subject: Hagie 2100 /dts10 boom pivot pins question

Manitoba
Our 2100 has 90’ booms. Currently have them off and apart doing some bracing and welding up any potential weak points. Wanted to replace the pins at the breakaway point 2/3 of the way down (hagie part 160351). Its a 5/8” round pin 11.5” length. What type of steel would be used for this type of pin? Would plain Mild roundbar work? Or should i target something harder?
Thought someone on here would probably know.
Thanks
Martin
