Subject: RE: Challenger mt reaction arm

Southeast Washington
They just need the reaction arm bearing oil changed regularly. If heavy loads then change with every engine oil change. They have come a long way. Our steep hills do test them. We had Challenger cover them the first time and we had a second one getting bad about 8,000 hours on an MT865C.

With regular oil changes they are very reliable. Watch the magnetic plugs when changing oil. Small filings are normal. If slightly larger chunks show then issues are beginning. When leaks start to appear between the driver wheels then action needs to be taken soon.
