You read/hear about tenant farmers mining the soil. Here, you are suggesting the landowner mine the soil in his own fields.
Well, that takes away the argument that it is bad because he is "stealing from the landlord."
A lot of guys in a corn/soy rotation only spread p and k ahead of corn and that's a socially acceptable practice. With sky high fertilizer prices wouldn't it make sense to skip a year when prices are high and put extra on when prices are lower?
