| I switched to electric fuel pump. About 20000 miles on first one (carter), just put in a facet. Both have been a little lower pressure than i wanted (i put a guage on the filter housing). My original mechanical was still good at 120000, heard nothing but bad on new mechanical (just grapevine). Probably still cheaper than these electric, but more hassle and harder starting.
I think i seen somebody modify a chevy bigblock fuel pump for these as well, maybe more reliable? I dunno. I know i used chevy block off plate when i removed my mechanical.
