Subject: RE: good way to judge first pass with big planter

Coles County, Illinois
Before I had repeatable guidance I figured out the field's heading out to .01 degrees. (like 90.03 degrees) That gets you within 3.5 inches. So you do a heading A-B line once you get the planter in the right spot to begin with. Now that I have repeatable guidance I have the field boarders stored and it's a simple selection of the boarder. Then drive with the implement up until my error is 1/2 the implement width. Recenter the line and I'm good to go.
