Pvafarm - 3/15/2026 12:34  The neat thing is everyone can farm and believe as they want - although at some point the pocketbook decides what needs to be done in order to sustain a viable operation.




If the govt stays out of the mix, the profitability (financial sustainability/viability) of the farm is always priority number 1.

When the govt decides to muddy the waters with subsidies you have to question why they are necessary and what is the motive behind them.


If we stay on the current trajectory with govt subsidies, sometime in my lifetime the subsidies on an acre of prime corn belt ground will likely be more $'s than the crop it actually produces.    Which is sad, both for the industry and the country.
