Southeast WI
I always find it interesting how your location is so unique that no-till or strip till would never work for you. Did you know that you actually have more frost free days than I do down here in Sullivan, WI? And we are blessed with easterly winds that cool us down many late afternoons well into June even though I'm 38 miles from the refrigerator lake. This reduces our daily effective heat unit accumulation. We farm sandy loam to heavy mud 6-8% OM ground and no-till all or occasionally strip till it as needed when it's wetter than normal.
