Spread 100lbs of potash after planting. If you can scout and be ready to spread at the first sign of slugs it will be better, but the salt in the potash will keep them at bay.

I notilled into heavy winter wheat cover last year then spread the potash immediately when the planter was done. Had a perfect stand of beans
