Probably not a bad idea. Small square balers struggle with the big windrows. If you get it done early and get the bales out of the field, you may get multiple cuttings. Depends on your moisture availability. Or in your case.........you could always just plow it down after the bales are out of the field. Let it regrow a little...........and then plow down some green manure into the soil. Sounds like a win win...........if profit is not the ultimate goal.
