Mow it once, then later in the summer cut and bale it. Then make a couple passes with an offset disc in the fall. Spread any lime, manure or fertilizer you need. Let winter break down the clumps, then the next spring use a finishing disc or field cultivator and plant. Then you’re set up if you want to no till in the future.
