If it’s smooth enough just no till… we don’t have crp but breaking sod with a disk or chisel is asking for trouble. Will be rough and require multiple passes. If it needs to be worked just pull the molboard out and save yourself a few passes.

I pulled some ground that was in sod for 50 years last spring. Plow and a pass with the disk and then pulled in with the corn planter.

If you have access to a wishek disc I would recommend that over a chisel or regular disk
